Higher Education Summit 2011

The 2011 Higher Education summit was held last month in Auckland. Over 150 attendees from universities, polytechnics and institutes of technology, wananga, private education providers, government departments and agencies, accreditation organisations, regulators and industry associations met to discuss the key issues and developments for higher education.
Presentations focused on the need for a forward-thinking education sector to meet the demands for highly educated qualified professionals and the provision of research establishments.
Alistair Regan, General Manager of Otago Institute of Design represented Innovating New Zealand at the event. His presentation—‘Strategies for engaging with business and industry for positive outcomes’— can be found below, along with presentations from WelTec CEO Linda Sissons and Unitec CEO Rick Ede.
